Sustainable development goal target 12.5 is to reduce waste. But with a planet increasingly dependent on technology, is that even possible? As of today, over 30m tonnes of electronic waste has been thrown out so far this year, according to the World Counts. The Schimmel Pegasus Grand Piano looks more like a spaceship or something else from the Sci-Fi channel than a piano. Schimmel made 14 of these about 10 years ago for people like Prince, Eddie Murphy and Lenny Kravitz. If you have tonnes of money, there is currently one for sale. They are asking US$110,000.

Iceland is known as the land of fire and ice and these images capture the essence of that perfectly. Photographer Howard Schatz had an idea: place actors in a series of roles and dramatic situations to reveal the essence of their characters. Such was the premise behind his book, In Character: Actors Acting, which captures some of Hollywood’s most emotive stars in the act of, well, making faces.
