For many of us, simply bending over to touch our toes can be a difficult. But it's not a problem for the world's bendiest woman Julia Günthel aka Zlata (27). Russian-born Zlata can twist herself like a snake into the most extreme poses imaginable – and has broken numerous world records for her flexibility. A quirky cartoonist challenged his own creation to a fight – but he could only draw. US artist Alex Solis, 31, from Chicago, Illinois, drew his skull t-shirt-wearing alter ego, who he calls Chuck, smashing his phone and stabbing his finger in his Inkteraction pictures. But Alex got his own back with a punch to Chucks jaw before squashing him against the bottom of the page. The Dubai Miracle Garden is unique in that it was essentially built on a desert. Head landscaper Akar says that the grounds are a great example of how it is possible to “green the desert” by reusing waste water. Designers took additional precautions to protect the beautiful garden arrangements from the environment. For instance, the garden’s perimeter is lined with trees that are used as windbreakers. Unlike most of the gardens around the world, the Dubai Miracle Garden closes during the summer due to severe weather conditions.
