The word mehndi is derived from the Sanskrit word mendhikā. The use of mehndi and turmeric is described in the earliest Vedic ritual books. Haldi (Staining oneself with turmeric paste) as well as mehndi are important Vedic customs as a symbolic representation of the Outer and the Inner Sun. 141 boxers’ by Danish visual artist and photographer Nicolai Howalt is a series of diptychs portraying boxers before and after their fight. Ranging from young boys to women, the collection of images delineates not only the brutal aftermath of a match but the more subtle changes in the subject’s physiology due to adrenaline, struggle, and the complex emotions that come with victory and loss.

Swiss street art duo Christian Rebecchi and Pablo Togni, otherwise known as NeverCrew, met in art school when they were 15 and started making work together soon after.
