From furry fluff-balls to hairless kitties, felines from all corners of the globe make up the creative photographer's latest project. Andrius, from Lithuania, created a technique whereby his camera is hidden in a Perspex box, that the cats are encouraged to walk across – resulting in some truly wonderful captures. People will spout about impermanence of digital records, but books are really fragile, too. Alexis Arnold from San Francisco wanted to illustrate that with her project The Crystallized Book: collecting books and growing Borax crystals on them. Books range from literature classics to magazines, and there’s even a mysterious and arcane tome called “Linux: The Complete Manual”.

The Bridge is a concept design for the ArchTriumph competition – they wanted to actually create something rather fun and frivolous (as opposed to their projects that are all of great concern when it comes to functionality, comfort for its users etc). The competition was a nice opportunity to create something a bit “outside the lines” and to have fun actually. A fun and smart idea, yet rigorous, congratulations!

RISD furniture student vivian chiu has completed a new project called ‘pixel chair.’ Creating a trompe l’oeil effect, this seating unit is made up of 1/2" x 1/2" cubes,placed individually by hand in a brick-laid formation then laminated together.
