These talented turtles have been "snapped" performing for the camera as they practice their synchronized swimming routine. Photographed underwater by Monste Grillo, 36, from Tenerife, Spain, the turtles are seen swimming in unison as well as touching fins as they circle towards the surface. After spending hours in the water off the coast of the Canary Islands in 2012, the photographs capture the gentle nature of the creatures as well as giving a fascinating glimpse into their behavior in the wild. Terence Chang's (aka exxonvaldez) long exposure photographs, capturing only streaks of light as airplanes arrive and depart from the San Francisco airport, certainly are stunning. There's just something so magical about seeing the various patterns created in the sky, even over a relatively short amount of time.

This cute elephant calf was spotted after it got stuck in a pool of water and required a helping trunk from its mum to get out. The young calf looked like it was having an incredible time however, as it frolicked about in the water and could have done with some waterproofs to boot. But mum clearly knew best with her tot, when she wrapped her trunk around the youngsters body and hoisted it out of the pool. New Zealand photographer Niki Boon captured her children, who are growing up with limited electronics, in the photo series “Childhood in the Raw Photos”. Niki Boon began taking photos as a hobby while she was working as a physiotherapist in Scotland. However, the New Zealand native found her interest in the art waning while she travelled, and it wasn’t until she had returned home and started raising a family that her passion was rekindled. “Childhood in the Raw”, an ongoing photo series of her four children’s technology-free life on her 10-acre property in New Zealand, is the perennial fruit of this passion. Lush green rice terraces sprawl over 2,200 hectares of mountainside ready to be harvested. These stunning images, captured by photographer Saravut Whanset, show the incredible terraces throughout the course of the day, including at sunrise and sunset. Workers tend to the fields, with each terrace between 1 and 1.5 metres wide, while wooden huts stand on stilts on the mountainside. The beautiful panoramic pictures were taken in Mu Cang Chai, Vietnam, with the fields located at the foot of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, 1,000 metres above sea level.
