Sculptor Robin Wight couldn’t help but remember this phenomenon after noticing a distortion in a photo he took a few years ago. Inspired, he began creating what has become an incredible series of fairy wire sculptures.

LA-based photographer Mike Kelley has been working on his amazing “Airportaits” for two years. He racked up racked up more than 74,000 air miles on 25 flights to complete the series. (Photo by Mike Kelley/SWINS)

Jassen Todorov, 40, from San Francisco is a professor of music at San Francisco State University, but he took to helicoptering in his spare time.
