Paula Duta is a Romanian illustrator who loves creating her artworks using pens, markers, and watercolors. This set of pictures shows the process through which she went to draw her most beloved creation – The Steampunk Lion. The picture came alive piece by piece, starting with the eyes, goggles, nose, and then the mane. Skoda is promoting the Fabia vRS with “Mean Green”, a television commercial filmed at the factory in the Czech Republic, showing a meaner side to the 180hp 1.4L TSI turbo and supercharged Fabia hatchback. The commercial begins with the brutal destruction of the Fabia cake commercial from 2007, with the Sound of Music “Favourite Things” track providing an ongoing sense of irony. The online campaign in the UK invites visitors to decide between lovely and mean, choosing between gingerbread and venom.

Hawaiian surfer Sean Yoro aka Hula combines his love of surfing and his artistic talent, creating hyperrealistic portraits of bathing women at different seaside locations. His work is inspired by street art and abandoned spaces that he uses as his hard-to-reach canvases. Carefully carrying cans of colored paint on the edge of his board, the New York-based artist applies his half submerged female portraits onto the wall.

Due to the influence of Sci-Fi movies, many of us have an obsession with giant robots. How cool would it be to ride a gigantic robotic dinosaur or elephant? It would be even cooler to control one! Regretfully, the modern technologies are not yet sophisticated enough to fulfill this dream. Pierre Orefice and François Delarozière, however, came very close. These two artists have made it their goal to turn Nantes, France, into a hot tourist destination spot for people who love robots. In their project of Machines de l'île in Nantes, they have created a whole park of robotic monstrosities, ranging from a giant 3 story high elephant to a 2 meter long centipede crawling on a rail track.

If you love dirt bikes and live in England, then there is no doubt that you’ve heard about RHL Weston Beach Race that takes place in Weston-super-Mare in Somerset. In the beginning, this race was organized by a few avid bikers sponsored by local businessmen. However, after a while, this event has gained traction, and now as many as one hundred thousand people come to take part in this race. In order to accommodate all the contestants, a whole beach in converted into one gigantic race track. The noise created by such a mass of dirt bikes can be heard for miles; however, this is a small price to pay for all the fun the people are having.

It's often said that pets and their owners can start to look alike, but these adorable photographs take the old mantra to a new extreme. They are the work of Svetlana Valyiskaya (27), from St Petersburg, who snaps pets in everyday poses in her spare time from her job as a commercial photographer. The vibrant costumes and scenes, which Svetlana designs herself, have made the photos a hit in her native Russia – and it's not hard to see why.
