Alternative Landscapes By Joseph Ford

This interesting and canny project by Joseph Ford combines aerial photography with fashion, using a technique that I have never seen before. The concept is simple, yet ingenious. Using various elements within both the aerial and fashion images, Joseph alligns them next to one another to create an alternative reality, and in some shots, it seems as if the garments were purposely created for this to happen. Such a great project that has so much room for experimentation.

Alternative Fashion by Circa Nocturna

For those who favour alternative fashion, Circa Nocturna is the one event that cannot be missed during the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. This year’s event was as unusual and infamously different as only Circa can be, however this was particularly significant as it marks the end of the traditional showcase of Australian subculture fashion, and will now be replaced with smaller boutique based previews throughout the year.

Alternative Perspectives By Randy Scott Slavin Part 2

Randy Scott Slavin's photography is surrealism based in reality. His work portrays land and cityscapes in a 360 degree view, a perspective closer to that of the human eye than a 2D photograph, he says. Slavin's "Alternate Perspectives" is a series of photographs of a single location or landmark pieced together to create a 360 degree perspective in a flat image. The results are whimsical, and occasionally eerie, scenes that reflect the portion and scale of Slavin's surroundings when he took the photo.
