Google has built its first self-driving car prototypes and hopes to test hundreds more models this summer. If all goes well, the company is planning a pilot program in California over the next few years.

To an outsider, their passion is at times illegal and often on the verge of life and death. Elements of nature are too powerful for humans to subdue, yet it didn’t stop the most courageous individuals from trying.
