Daily treatment should be given to these birds at least 1 hour a day including training time. Smart birds need daily training from trick training, free fly training and speech training. Lack of service will cause problems such as pluck, bitting, and shouting which will invite stress to bird owners. Macaw categorized as an endangered species, most macaw require a license or permit from Malaysia Wildlife Department for macaw conservation to be done properly and control the number of this bird in Malaysia. 'New owners must first learn how to care for a new macaw because each macaw needs a different way of caring. The size of the cage, feeding, service, cleanliness, environment and most importantly the owner’s commitment to caring for the macaws', according to statement from Kuala Lumpur FreeFly released on 10 April.
