Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebels and supporters help push a vehicle stuck in mud at their camp following the 10th Guerrilla Conference in the remote Yari plains where the peace accord was ratified by the FARC on September 25, 2016 in El Diamante, Colombia. The peace agreement attempts to end the 52-year-old guerrilla war between the FARC and the state, the longest-running armed conflict in the Americas which has left 220,000 dead. The final agreement is set to be signed on September 26 and will then be put to vote by the public in a referendum on October 2. Chinese air force planes, including an H-6K bomber (left) and an Su-30 fighter, fly toward the Western Pacific over the Miyako Strait in Okinawa Prefecture on Sunday, September 25, 2016. The Air Self-Defense Force scrambled aircraft on Sunday as at least eight Chinese fighters and bombers – and possibly more than 40 – passed through a critical international entryway into the Western Pacific. They used a legal but politically sensitive passage through Okinawa, apparently to send a message to Tokyo. It was the first time Beijing is known to have sent fighter jets through the area, and comes days after Japan’s defense minister announced plans to step up engagement in the disputed South China Sea. The Chinese aircraft, which also included refueling tankers, flew over the Miyako Strait in Okinawa Prefecture but did not infringe Japanese airspace, the Defense Ministry said in Tokyo. A girl laughs as she sits on the pavement in Punta Ballena street in Magaluf holiday resort in Calvia on the Spanish Mallorca Island on July 19, 2014. Known among some tourists as Shagaluf, the resort has suffered particularly bad press over the past 12 months after a video showing a Northern Irish teenage girl performing s*x acts on a group of men during a bar crawl went viral last summer. It is estimated 1 million Britons visit the region each year, bringing 800 million euros (866 million dollars) to the local economy, but the council is desperate to improve the reputation of destination, reported British journal The Guardian.
