A cemetery of disused war planes in the scorching Arizona desert has been given a new lease of life – as part of an art project.
“The Boneyard Project” resurrects disused warplanes that lie in the famous Boneyard in Arizona by letting graffiti artists paint them.
More than 30 of the world’s best urban artists worked on five ruined US Air Force jets, vividly bringing them back to life with paint and colour.

Volunteer rescuers prepare to drag a beached humpback calf to sea at Surfers Paradise Beach on August 8, 2011 on the Gold Coast, Australia. The focus of the german photographer michael wolf's work is life in mega cities. Many of his projects document the architecture and the vernacular culture of metropolises. Wolf grew up in Canada, Europe and the United States, studying at UC Berkeley and at the Folkwang School with Otto Steinert in Essen, Germany. He moved to Hong Kong in 1994 where he worked for 8 years as contract photographer for Stern magazine. Since 2001, Wolf has been focusing on his own projects, many of which have been published as books.
