New Zealand-based artist Henry Hargreaves became interested in the Last Meal tradition, which inmates waiting on death row have the right to request. He decided to re-create certain serial killers’ last meals in his photography series.

Gertrude “Billie” Murphy, 22, is brought in for questioning in the murder case of Michael Stopec, who was shot and killed in an apartment hotel, circa July 1927. Meet Günther Anton Krabbenhöft, a grandpa from Berlin, Germany who is making waves around the world because of his killer style. He was first noticed by Björn Akstinat of the German fashion blog Schickaa, who photographed Günther at the train station in a red bowling hat, yellow bow tie and burgundy leather driving gloves.

An animation artist has thrown a group of Disney characters into the real world – and it's not pretty. Jeff Hong, from New York, has taken the childhood favourites and turned their lives upside down. The Dark Knight (2008) was a visual feast firmly grounded in reality. But what if it had been a little more "freaktastic?" Professional concept artist Rob Bliss, who also worked on Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Watchmen (2005) and Jack the Giant Killer (2009-10) created some truly bizarre visuals for the film. Some are available in his portfolio including The Joker (Heath Ledger), the Joker's clown masked men in the bank heist and horrific images of Harvey "Two-Face" Dent (Aaron Eckhart).
