A fashion fair was organized in the Rajićeva Shopping Center in Belgrade on December 24, 2024. The first floor of the shopping center was transformed into a catwalk, and the models of the Alekk fashion agency brilliantly expressed the idea that fashion is not just clothes, but an attitude that, with the selection of quality pieces from good brands, becomes unmistakably fashionable and easy to wear. A waste picker unloads garbage at a waste transfer station in Bamako, Mali, August 19, 2018. In the Malian capital of Bamako, donkey carts driven by young men like 19-year-old Arouna Diabate play a vital role battling the fast-growing city's waste problem. Every morning before dawn, Diabate hitches his donkey to a cart and sets off on his rounds, going door-to-door to collect household garbage which he delivers to a local waste transfer station for a monthly salary of around $35. “I won't be picking up trash with a donkey cart for the rest of my life, but for now people appreciate us because we help clean up the homes of Bamako”, Diabate said. Jose, a reveller covered in grease, poses for a photo as he takes part in the annual Cascamorras festival in Baza, southern Spain September 6, 2015. The festival was inspired by a dispute between the town of Baza and Guadix over the possession of an icon of the Virgin of Piedad. The Cascamorras refers to representatives from Guadix, who were sent to Baza to recover the statue. As the Cascamorras had to stay perfectly clean to gain possession of the statue, Baza residents attempt to make them as “dirty” as possible. (Photo by Marcelo del Pozo/Reuters)
