We’re showcasing photo-manipulation by Jan Oliehoek, a Dutch artist with a love for animals, photography and Photoshop. Oliehoek loves creating animal species that somehow never made it into our biology books, such as felines with rodent heads, lambs with the body of a squirrel, zebra rhinos and hippo-frogs! In her blog “Stop Watch” Dutch artist Tineke Meirink takes photos of everyday objects found on the streets, then she gives life to by adding a minimal digital illustratior.

Photographer and former dancer Jesús Chapa-Malacara, head of art production company fotosjcm, announces the launch of Esprit de Corps, an innovative book of ballet photography unlike any seen before. The high-end art book, currently being independently financed and offered exclusively through a Kickstarter campaign, will feature world-class dancers from top ballet companies, including Michaela DePrince of Dutch National Ballet, Jared Matthews and Yuriko Kajiya of American Ballet Theatre, among others.

Meet Claire, the 3-year-old bull terrier travels the world with Dutch photographer Alice van Kempen, 48, and poses for photographs in abandoned buildings. Van Kempen seeks out abandoned places to photograph in pursuit of her passion for urban exploring, bringing along her globetrotting pooch as her trusted companion.
