Charming Wolfgang Stiller’s Human Matchsticks

Perhaps providing social commentary on the way in which everyday life tends to burn people out over time, German artist Wolfgang Stiller has created “Matchstick Men.” Appearing on their own and in matchbox-like “coffins,” the collection was created in Stiller’s studio by combining various head molds and bamboo wood scraps that were left over from a film production in Beijing.

Fact Lion, Tiger, Bear

They make an unlikely trio, but Baloo the bear, Leo the lion and Shere Khan the tiger have forged an unusually strong bond.
Considering that they would be mortal enemies if they ever were to meet in the wild, it is stunning to see their unique and genuine friendship in these intimate pictures.
Rescued eight years ago during a police drugs raid in Atlanta, Georgia, the three friends were only cubs at the time at barely two months old.

Cappadocia is a historical region in Central Anatolia, largely in Nevşehir Province, in Turkey.
In the time of Herodotus, the Cappadocians were reported as occupying the whole region from Mount Taurus to the vicinity of the Euxine (Black Sea). Charming Wood Sculpture by Randall Rosenthal

His name is Randall Rosenthal and he has talent that can result in mind-bending illusions. The project in the gallery below all started with three pieces of white pine he glued together.
