Portrait Drawings Of Winnie Truong

Winnie Truong was born in Toronto, where she still lives, and received her BFA in painting and drawing from Ontario College of Art and Design.

Using pencil, crayon, and chalk pastel on giant sheets of paper, Truong creates portraits with great detail. Her aim is to explore notions of beauty and discomfort and, inspired by science fiction, she portrays hair in all its ‘whiskery, wispy, curly, bristly’ brilliance.

Undercats By Sebastian Magnani

They might look like something straight out of a horror film, but these extraordinary images have been created to show the special bond between cats and their owners. Photographer Sebastian Magnani, 28, from Brig, Switzerland, took pictures of dogs and their owners using the same position and camera settings before working his magic with editing software. The result is this startling set of images, which show the pooches with human clothes – one wearing a hoodie, another with a red coat, one with a shirt and cardigan, and another with a blue jacket. Portraits Out Of Packing Tape By Mark Khaisman

Born in 1958 in Kiev, Ukraine, artist Mark Khaisman studied Art and Architecture at the Moscow Architectural Institute in Russia. Now living in Philadelphia, USA, Khaisman uses rolls of brown packaging tape to create incredible works of art. Mark characterizes his work as ‘pictorial illusions formed by light and shadow’. The three key elements are: translucent packing tape, clear acrylic or film panels, and light. By superimposing layers of packaging tape Mark can ‘play on degrees of opacity that produces transparencies highlighted by the color, shading, and embossment’.
