Bob Woodward looks at the reconstruction he built of the Orpheus Pavement at Prinknash Abbey on March 31, 2010 in Gloucester, England. The replica mosiac, made of more than one-and-a-half million pieces of stone is described as one of the most significant archaeological projects of recent times. It is an exact copy of Orpheus Pavement, which dates back to 325 AD and was created by brothers John and Bob Woodward, who were inspired after seeing the original pavement - the largest Roman mosaic north of the Alps - when it was last revealed in 1973 and is buried beneath a churchyard near Stroud, Gloucestershire. It has been uncovered seven times since 1880, but is unlikely ever to be revealed again. It depicts Orpheus charming all forms of life with his lyre and has been praised for its accuracy and beauty.
