The new Amazon tablet called the Kindle Fire is displayed on September 28, 2011 in New York City. In order to celebrate Movember (mustache November), artist and blogger Adam Ellis slapped handsome, flowing beards onto some of Disney’s most famous princesses. The idea came to him when a fan commented on a bearded picture he had made of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. One bearded princess became twelve, and now this strange image series is all over the web.

Beneath the Swedish capital lies an intricate web of underground train lines. More than 90 of the 100 stations in the 110km tunnel system, sometimes referred to as “the world’s longest art gallery”, have been decorated with paintings, installations, mosaics and sculptures by 150 artists since the 1950s. The annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition in Sydney features dozens of sculptures on Bondi and Tamarama beaches and along the coastal path between them. The free outdoor exhibition, now in its 18th year, stretches for 2km along the coastline and includes work by artists from 16 countries. It runs from 23 October to 9 November 2014.
