Mini Amsterdam has launched a promotion campaign for their brand new creation Mini Copper. The idea is that Mini Copper is so small that it could fit in a box. Thus, as part of the promotion campaign, huge cardboard boxes were left in various popular placed of Amsterdam, making it look as if someone has bought a Mini Copper and thrown out the cardboard box it came in. Of course it is simply a commercial; however, it clearly illustrates just how small the Mini Copper really is. This is a perfect vehicle to handle narrow streets and lack of parking space. Have you ever heard of a phenomenon called the Uncanny Valley? Illustrations created by Swiss illustrator Christo Dagorov show how horrible something may look when it’s a hair’s breadth away from looking human. In his illustrations he combined the shape of human lips with trees, buildings, and even human bodies, making it look from a distance as if the lips were horribly deformed by some unknown disease. Yogis and street performers have been simulating levitation with nifty contraptions forever. They appear to be held aloft via nothing but their preternatural mental prowess. But are really enjoying the benefits of basic physics just like the rest of us when we use a chair. However, just because it’s perfectly explainable doesn’t mean it isn’t nifty. I’m especially impressed by this 2-person version and am still trying to work out how exactly the chair they’re using is shaped at the base.

Ryan Pernofski‘s stunning shots feature brilliant yellows, reds, blues and purples as an array of sunlight hits the water at the perfect time. What’s even more impressive: Ryan, a 27-year-old Australian, began shooting his popular masterpieces without using a professional camera, taking his iPhone out into the water instead.
