Educative Marble Caves, Patagonia, Chile

The Marble Caves of Patagonia, Chile, are beautiful vibrant blue caverns, partially submerged in the equally stunning turquoise waters of Carrera Lake. The lake itself is on the border of Argentina and Chile, with the caves located on the Chilean side. The caves are comprised of three main caverns: the Chapel (La Capilla), the Cathedral (El Catedral), and the Cave (La Cueva). Visitors to the caves can explore them in a small boat or kayak, but only when Carrera Lake’s waters are calm and gentle. A rare and invaluable natural wonder, the existence of these caves is currently threatened by plans to build five large dams in the area. Wow Finnjet Car is Crafted Completed from Junk

The 29-foot long limousine will surely amaze you not because of its price but because of its junk made body. The vehicle has been named as Finnijet and is owned by a 72 years old chauffeur named Antti Rahko from Finland. It took him almost 10 years to complete the vehicle. He began work by assembling two Mercedes Benz station wagons along with various other parts from different vehicles including Chrysler Imperial 1962.

Wow Artist Destroys Apple Products

Artist Michael Tompert, a former graphic designer at Apple, is putting on an exhibition showing Apple products which he has destroyed in various ways – burned with blowtorches, smashed with sledgehammers, chopped up with handsaws or shot with a handgun.

The results are then photographed in the typically fetishistic style of Tompert’s former employer, all close-up and against a plain white background.

Presumably the image editing was done elsewhere, what with all his own gear being smashed up all over the studio and all.

Charming High Glitz by Susan Anderson

Wow Redesigning Old Military Airplanes

A cemetery of disused war planes in the scorching Arizona desert has been given a new lease of life – as part of an art project.
“The Boneyard Project” resurrects disused warplanes that lie in the famous Boneyard in Arizona by letting graffiti artists paint them.
More than 30 of the world’s best urban artists worked on five ruined US Air Force jets, vividly bringing them back to life with paint and colour.

Wow Eyes As Big As Plates – Norway And Finland

Eyes as Big as Plates is a whimsical series by Finnish photographer Riitta Ikonen and Norwegian photographer Karoline Hjorth that features senior citizens donning organic materials like twigs and grass. Ikonen says that the collaborative project originally began as "a play on characters and protagonists from Norwegian folklore" but has since evolved into a collection of images exploring "mental landscapes" that reflect a return of body to nature with the use of scavenged materials.
