Dutch artist Suzan Drummen‘s large-scale floor installations are mesmerizing and complex circular patterns made out of mirrors and brightly colored glass. The fractal-like arrangements feature ornate and elaborate circles growing exponentially out of each other and vibrant rings of spiraling colors winding into the surface of the floor. They are composed of crystals, chromed metal, precious stones, mirrors and optical glass. A sensory experience, and visually stimulating, the glittering installations play with the architecture of the space — climbing up walls and sweeping across the surfaces — examining the idea of illusion and optical effects.

From Britain to China to Mali, new maps showing travel times to the nearest urban centre reveal huge differences between countries. Using Open Street Map and Google, a University of Oxford team have created a visual breakdown that suggests major inequalities when it comes to commuting. Here: China. Josephine Wall is an English fantasy artist and sculptor. Born in Farnham, Surrey, England in 1947, as a child she was always drawn to color, light, fantasy, and visual storytelling. Wall was influenced by Arthur Rackam illustrative ability, the surrealism of artists Magritte and Dali, along with the Pre-Raphaelites romanticism. She went to Farnham grammar school until her family Poole, Dorset when she was 14. There she studied at Parkstone (Dorset) grammar school, she then went on to study at Bournemouth College. Her first job as an artist was in 1967 at Poole Pottery as a designer and painter.

(fos) is the name of the first ephemeral installation by the multidisciplinary team (fos). It means light in Greek and melted in Catalan. In this project has been represented by a skin that covers both vertical and horizontal surfaces. The protected façade of the vegan restaurant Rayen at Lope de Vega street in Madrid has been illuminated for 4 days and nights by more than 250lm of yellow duct tape, painted décor items, pineapples and... a lamp. A visual game between perspective and colored volumes that gained the looks.

Frank A. Rinehart, a commercial photographer in Omaha, Nebraska, was commissioned to photograph the 1898 Indian Congress, part of the Trans-Mississippi International Exposition. More than five hundred Native Americans from thirty-five tribes attended the conference, providing the gifted photographer and artist an opportunity to create a stunning visual document of Native American life and culture at the dawn of the 20th century.
