What do superheroes do when they’re not busy fighting bad guys and saving the world from destruction? Perhaps they’re drawing strength alone in the peace and quiet of the great outdoors. That’s the premise of French photographer Benoit Lapray‘s photo-manipulation series “The Quest for the Absolute.”

Marcelo Maragni was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. According to his mother’s idea, he was ment to be an architect in a quest of changing the world. Instead, he preferred to take possession of his father’s camera and learn another craft on his own.

These stunning photos act as postcards for one photographer, who has traveled all over the globe, braving freezing temperatures to create the ultimate time lapse video. Photographer Dustin Farrell, 36, spent four years perfecting his technique and traveling all over the world in his quest to capture the most beautiful time lapses of nature. “Asaro from the Eastern Highlands”. The mudmen could not cover their faces with mud because the people of Papua New Guinea thought that the mud from the Asaro river was poisonous. So instead of covering their faces with this alleged poison, they made masks from pebbles that they heated and water from the waterfall, with unusual designs such as long or very short ears either going down to the chin or sticking up at the top, long joined eyebrows attached to the top of the ears, horns and sideways mouths.
