Runners hoist another runner into the air after completing The Color Run All-Star 5K as part of the All-Star Baseball game festivities, Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Sawyer Point Park, in Cincinnati. After more than two years of planning and sprucing up, city organizers say everything's in place for a smooth, safe and fun five days of events that began Friday morning with the opening of Major League Baseball's fan festival. There will be concerts, exhibits, celebrity softball, the Home Run Derby and other activities capped by Tuesday night's game. (Photo by John Minchillo/AP Photo)

Coloured X-ray of a barn owl. A physicist has used X-ray to create an extraordinary collection of artwork. Arie van't Riets pictures reveal birds, fish, monkeys and flowers in an incredible new light. The 66-year-old, from Bathmen in the Netherlands, began X-raying flowers as a means to teach radiographers and physicians how the machine worked. But after adding a bit of colour to the pictures, the retired medical physicist realised the potential for an exciting new collection of art. (Photo by Arie van't Riet/Barcroft Media)

P.S. All pictures are presented in high resolution. To see Hi-Res images – just TWICE click on any picture. In other words, click small picture – opens the BIG picture. Click BIG picture – opens VERY BIG picture (if available; this principle works anywhere on the site AvaxNews). Enjoy.
