As you look at the set of pictures created by Tom Kondrat during his travels in Iceland, the first thing that comes to mind is the word “loneliness.” These pictures lead you to believe that Iceland is a desolate expanse of icy wasteland. You can almost imagine the strong wind howling in your ears, as it chills you straight to the bone. And as you’re walking down so beaten path, you’re all alone, with not a human soul for miles in any direction. This may prove unbearable for some, yet others find comfort in such places. Paula Duta is a Romanian illustrator who loves creating her artworks using pens, markers, and watercolors. This set of pictures shows the process through which she went to draw her most beloved creation – The Steampunk Lion. The picture came alive piece by piece, starting with the eyes, goggles, nose, and then the mane. The close-up of the Pecteilis radiata is very reminiscent of a beautiful white bird soaring in the skies. This is probably the reason why people have started calling this flower the White Egret Flower. Truly, the resemblance of this flower to an egret flying through heavens is staggering. It is too bad that these flowers are so small. Otherwise, they would make for a stunning bouquet. The time of selfies with duck faces is long gone and ridiculed, though some persist in doing it. Helene Meldahl, however, didn’t want to give up the trend, but had to think of a creative way to keep doing it. So she decided to create comical pictures by drawing over the selfies that she has made. Some people just can’t stop taking pictures of themselves. It makes you wonder, what they would do in an era before the existence of cameras… Oh, poor souls, they would definitely suffer greatly without the possibility of sharing on instagram their “stunning looks” and the pictures of food that they eat every 2 seconds. If you love someone very much, you care very little about their looks. The beauty of their soul is the thing that matters the most, changing your perception of them for the better. Monty the Cat is a vivid example of this fact. He was taken by his new owners from an animal shelter at the age of three, and became a proud member of their family. Due to a genetic anomaly Monty doesn’t have a nasal bridge, making his appearance rather unique. However, this peculiarity is what makes Monty special, and his new owners love him for it. Though he doesn’t realize that he’s any different from other cats, Monty knows that his owners love him very much.
