Kritchaya “Lolita” Boonhor (R) curls her eyelashes in ladyboy Candy's (L) room while she chats her about her boyfriend, in Bangkok, Thailand, 27 November 2017. Most things in life are a question of negotiation. Lolita is a woman, that was not to be negotiated. What needed to be negotiated was how she was perceived by those around her. And that negotiation was one that took time and effort. (Photo by Lola Levan/EPA/EFE)

A supporter of the presidential candidate for the Honduran Opposition Alliance Against the Dictatorship for the past election, Salvador Nasralla, lies on the street in front of police officers during a demonstration against the contested re-election of President Juan Orlando Hernandez, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras on January 21, 2018. The opposition called for a “national strike” on Saturday to focus on blocking the country's main roads ahead of the start of the president's new term in office on January 27. Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds jailed since Hernandez was declared the winner of the November 26 run-off election – but only after a three week stretch of often-interrupted ballot counting that stoked tensions and sparked accusations of fraud in the Central American country. In this March 31, 2019 photo, an Egyptian student borrows a Bedouin wedding dress to pose for a photograph with Bedouin men from the Hamada tribe, in Wadi Sahw, Abu Zenima, in South Sinai, Egypt. Four Bedouin women are for the first time leading tours in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, breaking new ground in their deeply conservative community, where women almost never work outside the home or interact with outsiders. The tourists can only be women, and the tours can’t go overnight. Each day before the sun sets, the group returns to the Hamada’s home village in Wadi Sahu, a narrow desert valley.
