Pop culture is the inspiration for many great artists. From music to movies, all of it provide great amount of ideas for people to do great, even witty pieces, like these, by American painter Hillary White.

Is it worth eating live beings? This is a philosophical question: the history of our species and the ontology of being are saying that it's more likely yes, and on the other hand your mind and empathy are more likely to be against this idea. Or at least like in this Korean clip – eat, but with tears in your eyes.

In Jukkasjärvi, a village a few miles east of Kiruna, the proprietors of one hotel begin planning for a winter ice festival in March. That’s when they begin collecting some 5,000 tons of ice from the River Torne in order to prepare the Icehotel, the world’s coolest place to stay. Options for overnight stay include snow rooms, ice rooms, art suites, and the Northern Lights room, all of which range from about $300 to $900 per night. But the deluxe suite’s the only way to go. Maddie The Coonhound a fun side project of photographer Theron Humphrey as he travels across America shooting portraits and telling the stories of everyday people for his project, This Wild Idea. In between he takes pictures of his dog – Maddie The Coonhound – that seems to enjoy being a model.

Mungo Thomson is a contemporary visual concept artist from Los Angeles. His work can be described as simple but fascinating. His interest in what he calls ‘the dumb idea’, something simple but interesting, makes his art so special.
