Japanese manufacturer Fake Food Hatanaka had the idea to combine the two to create a line of fashion accessories, strange and twisted! From the Fries/Ketchup hairclip to the Pizza bread necklace through the Cheeseburger pendant, the bacon & eggs headbands or even spaghetti bolognaise earrings and necklace sausages, here is some ultra-realistic and WTF Japanese gadgets to turn Fake Food / Fast Food into fashion accessory!

American photographer Austin Tott created the series ‘Tiny Tattoos’ that matches miniature hand-drawn tattoos with the backgrounds from which they draw visual reference. A small bicycle is placed in its urban environment, little trees and envelopes find their bigger brothers and a tiny fox is put in the context of wooden logs.

Award-winning photographer Alex Bernasconi has captured thousands of images – from hiding hippos to wandering zebras – in his travels across Africa. His amazing work features in a new edition of his book Wild Africa. These amazing pictures create a snapshot of the life of some of the planet’s most spectacular animals and natural habitats. Brooklyn-based artist Orly Genger comes to Manhattan with an installation called Red, Yellow and Blue. The work features the artists usage of intricately hand-knotted nautical rope covered in paint, creating a work that transforms the park’s lawns into colorfully-lined chambers that visitors can enjoy. The work will remain on view daily from May 2 through September 8, 2013 in Madison Square Park.

Justin Rowe creates these magical sculptures from hand cut books and found images with the help of just a touch of gum arabic and 24 carat gold or palladium leaf. Some are very much in the realms of fairy stories like the one above, but my favourites are the stories below where Justin’s skill brings the book’s own illustrations to life.
