Created using a process pioneered in the 1880s, these images offer a fascinating insight into the world when colour photography was still in its infancy. Gdańsk is a Polish city on the Baltic coast. The city's professional football club is Lechia Gdansk. Founded in 1945, they play in the Ekstraklasa, Poland's top division. The European Football Championship will take place in Gdansk 2012.
