When I woke up I saw that both my legs were gone; I thought my life was over. My brother and another guy were with me. They made a stretcher from sticks and tied it together with clothing. I’m an illustrator based in South Wales, UK. I work in pen and ink, creating original illustrations for record cover artwork, shirt design and poster art.

"I am completely inspired by the natural world. Beauty is everywhere. It is the growth of the forest, the depth of the sea, and the curve of the bone. It is skin, scales, bark, and tide pool ripples. It is texture, and it is raw. I am a translator of life, and I am compelled to narrate it."

The last series of Sam Taylor-Wood's that I have looked into is called Bram Stoker's Chair. This series links with her Suspended series in that they both show the artist seemingly poised in mid-air. These photos have the added element of the chair being there for her to balance on, giving her more of a physical connection with her surroundings.
