In this photo taken Tuesday, October 14, 2014, skulls and bones are stacked at the Catacombs in Paris, France. The subterranean tunnels, stretching 2 kilometers (1.24 miles), cradle the bones of some 6 million Parisians from centuries past and once gave refuge to smugglers. The site used to close at 5 p.m., but is now staying open until 8 p.m. The change is mainly aimed at allowing more people to visit and reducing long lines, since it can only hold a limited number of people at a time and visits can't be reserved in advance. Throughout time, people invented and reinvented rollerblades. Of course everyone’s dream was to combine them with regular footwear, so that at one moment you’re riding down the road, and in 5 seconds you’re walking into a shopping mall, without the mall cop chasing after you. The most resent inventions were heelys (sneakers with a wheel located in the heels) and Xsjados (aggressive skates, the exterior of which could be removed to reveal regular sneakers). In the past, people made similar attempts, however, these inventions were very inefficient and the trend never caught on. Omnia’C has found and made photos of one of such inventions: pop out roller skate sandals all the way from 1970s. Though their design is pretty cool, it seems like they would be very uncomfortable, since they totally lack ankle support.

“Francois' langur is one of several species of leaf monkeys. Over 50% of its diet is made up of young leaves. It will also consume fruits (17.2%), seeds, flowers, stems, roots, bark and occasionally minerals and insects off of rock surfaces and cliffs. “The McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender is an air-to-air tanker aircraft in service with the United States Air Force derived from the civilian DC-10-30 airliner. “Solar Impulse is a European long-range solar powered plane project being undertaken by Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg. The project eventually hopes to succeed in the first circling of the earth with a piloted fixed-wing aircraft using only solar power. The first aircraft, bearing the Swiss aircraft registration code of HB-SIA, is a single-seater, capable of taking off under its own power, and intended to remain airborne up to 36 hours.
