Beneath the Swedish capital lies an intricate web of underground train lines. More than 90 of the 100 stations in the 110km tunnel system, sometimes referred to as “the world’s longest art gallery”, have been decorated with paintings, installations, mosaics and sculptures by 150 artists since the 1950s. After spending a couple of weeks exploring arctic Norway and Sweden, London-based travel photographer Conor MacNeill headed underground to capture images of the metro stations. In order to celebrate Movember (mustache November), artist and blogger Adam Ellis slapped handsome, flowing beards onto some of Disney’s most famous princesses. The idea came to him when a fan commented on a bearded picture he had made of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. One bearded princess became twelve, and now this strange image series is all over the web.

Developed for the British American Ambulance Corps, this new motorcycle ambulance is capable of speeding wounded soldiers 90 miles an hour from the front lines to field hospitals. Its springs are synchronized with the patient's heartbeat to avoid increasing fever when traveling over various Terrain. A famous Chinese wood carver, Zheng Chunhui has won a Guinness World Record after developing the longest wooden carving of the world. Zheng spent 4 years developing the artwork that is about forty feet long and made sculpture from a single tree trunk. The artwork is basically a copy of the popular Chinese painting named Along the River during the Qingming Festival that was made around one thousand years ago.

Mirko Hanák was born in 1921 in Prague, Czech Republic and worked as a painter, graphic designer and illustrator. His specialties were animals and human figures that were full of life and fun. He also had a firm grasp on composition as his paintings were so well balanced despite his casual fluid line. He was working on “Charlotte's Web” the movie when he tragically died at the height of his career from leukemia in 1971.
