This picture taken on November 20, 2016 shows a mother Bryde' s whale (L) and her calf feeding on anchovies in the Gulf of Thailand, off the coast of Samut Sakhon province It's a rare glimpse of marine life in its natural habitat, in a kingdom overrun with mass tourist attractions such as aquariums and dolphin shows. Once a dream for scuba divers, many of Thailand's coral reefs have been dulled by pollution, over- fishing and increased boat traffic, as well as over- enthusiastic swimmers. This December 3, 2016, photo provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service shows the world's oldest known seabird, tending to an egg she laid, with her mate, at Midway Atoll, a wildlife refuge about 1,200 miles northwest of Honolulu. Biologists spotted the Laysan albatross called Wisdom at Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge earlier this month after she returned to the island to nest. She was incubating an egg at the same nest she uses each year with her mate. She's believed to be 66 years old. She's also the world's oldest known breeding bird in the wild. A female Grey Seal gets close to her pup on a beach on the north Sea island of Helgoland, Germany, on December 14, 2016. As the mating season starts after female Grey Seals give birth, males usually compete by shows of strength against other males. Hundreds of Grey Seals use the island to give birth to their pups, usually between the months of November and January. The pups, after 3 weeks of nursing, are then left to fend for themselves. This year has seen a record number of new pups, with 320 births recorded up to December 14. (Photo by John MacDougall/AFP Photo)
